Essential Duties: · Provide peer recovery support services that are culturally responsive and strength-based to patients on an inpatient withdrawal management program at Thorek Andersonville Hospital. · Provide supportive peer services that empower individuals, connect them to community resources, and foster natural support, including family members. · Support patient engagement in connection to treatment, by educating about recovery processes and promoting recovery capital through using their own personal recovery experience. · Connect patients to case management needs and community resources including housing, medical care, education, vocational training, and recovery resources as indicated in the patient’s treatment plan to support recovery goals. · Promote social learning through shared experiences. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (7:00am - 3:30pm) Work Location: Location: Thorek Hospital Andersonville Pay Rate: $19.23 with certification; $18.26 without certification Family Guidance Centers, Inc. is a Drug Free Environment (including THC and/or CBD). Experience and Skills: Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years old. Must have at least one year of recovery from substance use, mental health or co-occurring substance use and mental health challenges. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Certified by the Illinois Certification Board (ICB, Inc.) as a Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) or as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CRPS) or be certified within one year of employment date.
