Family Guidance Centers, Inc. is a substance use treatment organization offering comprehensive behavioral health programs, including medication-assisted recovery, to individuals with substance use disorders (SUDs) and co-occurring mental health conditions. With over 25 years of experience and multiple locations across the state, we provide a full continuum of care for substance use disorder, from prevention and harm reduction to treatment and recovery support. Our programs integrate FDA-approved medications for the treatment of substance use disorders, including all three medications approved to treat opioid use disorder (buprenorphine, methadone, and naltrexone). We strive to meet our patients where they are, bringing care outside clinic walls via telehealth and mobile services and ensuring patients have access to harm reduction resources and education.                          

The Staff Nurse essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Processes patients from assessment to discharge in both medications assisted treatment and drug free treatment programming.

• Dispenses all medication under procedures set forth by Family Guidance Center, Substance Use Prevention and Recovery, Clinical Sustainability Assessment Tool and the Drug Enforcement Administration

• Monitors the appropriateness of methadone and medication dosages.

• Monitors the physical & mental health well-being of patients and documents findings.

• Must be available to travel if needed

Schedule: 6:45 am - 3:15 pm five days a week (days vary) Sat 7:15 am to 10:15 am every other weekend

Education and/or Experience: Two years post degree experience in hospital or agency setting. Individual must possess good communication skills. General basic nursing and medical terminology knowledge. Must have knowledge of substance abuse pathology. Must have knowledge of all state and federal rules and regulations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: RN, L.P.N. registered in the State of Illinois and certified in CPR
