Family Guidance Centers, Inc. is a substance use treatment organization offering comprehensive behavioral health programs, including medication-assisted recovery, to individuals with substance use disorders (SUDs) and co-occurring mental health conditions. With over 25 years of experience and multiple locations across the state, we provide a full continuum of care for substance use disorder, from prevention and harm reduction to treatment and recovery support. Our programs integrate FDA-approved medications for the treatment of substance use disorders, including all three medications approved to treat opioid use disorder (buprenorphine, methadone, and naltrexone). We strive to meet our patients where they are, bringing care outside clinic walls via telehealth and mobile services and ensuring patients have access to harm reduction resources and education. The Staff Nurse essential duties and responsibilities include: • Tracks inventories of Controlled Substances II & III doing physical counts & electronic data entry in SAMMS accounting software.• Verifies the medication inventory at openings & closings per FGC policy; accurately transfers/adjusts liters of methadone per SAMMS prompts.• Can access medication accounting reports from SAMMS for supervisory and DEA Diversion Control review.• Orders Controlled Substances using DEA Forms; receives inventory by entering data in the SAMMS.• Processes physicians' orders, rx orders, telephone orders in SAMMS; documents the services in SAMMS. Audits electronic signature requirements for compliance resolution• Accurately dispenses clinic medications & take-home medication per FGC policy; is responsible for initiation of FGC DEA Chain of Custody form, when applicable.• Provides Naltrexone ER (extended release suspension) education and administration services as needed.
