Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Program Manager:

  • Ensure the STR program consistently provides key recovery support services (i.e. individual recovery coaching, group recovery coaching, care coordination, and group and individual peer support coaching to clients enrolled in treatment for opiate use disorder).
  • Manage a partial recovery support caseload providing direct recovery support service.
  • Ensure clients are assigned to recovery support staff upon admission to treatment and manage caseload allocation.
  • Assist with intake assessments and assist other STR staff as needed for appropriate completion of assessments and admission GPRA data collection.
  • Oversee the content of recovery coaching groups and approve the monthly recovery support group schedule.
  • Oversee scheduling of recovery support staff to ensure program coverage and approve weekly payroll in paylocity and approve appropriate time off requests.
  • Train new recovery support staff on the program population, the SAMMS electronic record system, the services to be delivered, and the format for documentation of services.
  • Ensure documented monthly group and/or individual supervision of recovery support staff.
  • Recommend and assist with coordinating staff trainings on recovery support.
  • Ensure that the STR recovery support staff communicate and coordinate care with the OMT and mental health treatment staff for clear consistent focus on goals.
  • Train and support positive performance of staff and clearly document any barriers to performance communicating with V.P. and using FGC’s progressive discipline policies.
  • Help with interviewing new recovery support staff applicants.
  • Provide data regarding STR clients served, services provided, and outcomes achieved (i.e. engagement in treatment, stabilization with abstinence, achievement of adequate housing, engagement in medical and mental health care as needed, gains towards employment, increased social and peer support etc.
  • Assist VP in updating and revising STR related policies and operating procedures as needed.
  • Assist with performance reviews of recovery support staff upon employment at three months, one year, and annually thereafter.
  • Support ongoing skill development and where appropriate staff progress toward recovery support certification.

Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with Saturday Rotation 6:00 am - 2:00 pm

Experience and Skills:

Education and/or Experience: A master’s degree in behavioral health care field preferred. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of supervisory experience will also be considered. Knowledge of and experience with medication assisted substance use treatment, dual-diagnosis and mental health conditions and treatment, and especially the role of recovery support as part of the system of care for high risk complex clients is essential.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Candidates must have one of the following: CADC, LCPC, LPC, PhD, MD, LSW, or LCSW certification / licensure. Candidate will pass all applicable screening and background checks necessary for work with population served including DCFS clearance.

Skills:

  • Properly administer and read alcohol analyzers.
  • Ability to use analytical software.
  • Ability to use calendar and scheduling software.
  • Experience using desktop computers, copier, and fax machine.
  • Experience using electronic mail software
