Job Description:

Family Guidance Centers, Inc is a not-for- profit outpatient substance abuse center, serving clients who struggle with substance abuse, mental health and alcohol abuse disorders. Our comprehensive programs are designed to educate and guide individuals toward their full potential as productive members within their own families and our society.

We are currently seeking a non-armed Security Guard who will be responsible for providing a secured and safe environment for staff and clients. This individual must be able to represent Family Guidance Centers, Inc. and its client to the same standard of quality as we represent ourselves; with dignity and respect at all times. Must have the ability/skills to de-escalate any tense situation, patrol building/grounds for unusual and/or inappropriate behavior such as loitering, solicitation and etc., prevents unauthorized access to restricted areas the ability to multitask; and maintain their professional integrity.

Work Hours; 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with flexibility; Saturday rotation

Our organization provides a comprehensive benefit package for full time employment that includes health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance and a 401k pension plan. Vacation, sick and personal days with ten paid holidays off are included in our paid time off compensation package.

Salary Range: $12.00 +/ hr

Experience and Skills:

Education and/or Experience: Employee must be a minimum 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or GED; Have some form of security experience/ training, Demonstrate excellent customer service; Must be able to demonstrate the ability to de-escalate difficult situations. They must demonstrate an attitude of service, great customer relations skills and must be dependable; and be able to work with a team, as well as independently.

Certificates: current PERC card is required.
