Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Direct Supervision of all DASA Program counselors, Intake Assessment Coordinators, DUI service staff and Dietary Staff. Oversees the provision of quality clinical services and compliance, personnel, and administrative functions in accordance DASA and DCFS contractual obligations, and all policies and procedures of Family Guidance Centers (FGC) to ensure safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective client care. Must effectively relate with all facility support services to ensure for the appropriate continuity of patient care. Direct Supervision of all DASA Program counselors, Intake Assessment Coordinators, DUI service staff and Dietary Staff. Coordinates all DASA/DCFS Programs as follows:

  • Ensures that the clinic is consistently open for service on time and appropriately staffed.
  • Continuously assesses and improves the performance of care and services provided.
  • Responsible for coordinating admissions, discharges, and referrals to outside agencies for all levels of care.
  • Review and approve/disapprove continuing stay reviews at required intervals depending on level of care.
  • Supervises documentation to ensure that documentation reflects services and care provided to clients.
  • Responsible for productivity of services and goals and submits weekly productivity of the program to AVP of Springfield.
  • Monitors and reports statistics on census for clinical service hours provided, toxicology testing, and caseload assignments in accordance with agency goals.
  • Acts as management team coordinator with nursing staff - multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensures timely and comprehensive treatment plans and reviews, progress notes, and record keeping standards are in accordance with FGC policies and regulatory entities.
  • Assists as needed with program design, marketing, and performance improvement.
  • Ensures Quality Improvement Plans are implemented in accordance with the PI department.
  • Conducts and documents minimum monthly supervision meetings with each team member.
  • Participates in interviewing for counselors and other positions as needed, make hiring and termination recommendations.
  • Provides orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all subordinates.
  • Specifies personnel accountability and evaluates performance regularly

Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Experience and Skills:

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related discipline from an accredited institution preferred. Master’s Degree preferred. Knowledge of ASAM Patient Placement criteria and regulatory stands is essential. Adaptability is necessary in working in a fast paced environment while interacting in a positive manner with other disciplines and clients. It is desirable to be proactive in solving problems and have an appreciation of continuous improvements concepts. Basic computer knowledge and ability to use clinical software is expected.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A CADC is required. LPC, LSW, LCPC, or LCSW licensure preferred.
