Job Description:

Metro Prep High School, Grade School and Laureate Day School have been educating and supporting students with special needs for over 25 years supported by FGC.

Using a multidisciplinary approach, Metro Prep provides educational and therapeutic learning opportunities in a small, nurturing environment. This allows our staff to tailor each student’s program to meet his or her individual needs.

Our staff is comprised of state-certified special education teachers and state-licensed counselors. The Principal and Clinical Director oversee the administration of school operations and therapeutic programming. Our milieu is small by design and we maintain an optimal student to teacher ratio of 5:1 or 10:2. We believe that this ensures the best instructional environment for our students and promotes prompt clinical availability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To perform duties as assigned by the food service manager and food service coordinator.
  • To attend all scheduled meetings.
  • To wear assigned uniform, shoes, hair nets, gloves, etc. that meets food handler guidelines.
  • To prepare food line for food service.
  • To serve lunch to students.
  • To break down and clean food line and equipment.
  • To properly store and label food.
  • To maintain first in-last out guidelines of all milk and produce.
  • To clean and maintain sanitary food line, equipment and kitchen surfaces.

Number of Open Positions: 1

Schedule: Regular School Year - Monday thru Friday 10:30 am - 2:00 pm

Experience and Skills:

Education and/or Experience: Employee must be a minimum 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or GED; demonstrate excellent customer service; be detailed oriented; and be able to work with a team, as well as independently.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Food Handler Training Class (pass 2 hour on-line class within 30 days of hire)
