Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Direct Supervision of Residential Clinical Staff and 24 hour clinical on call availability to address residential safety concerns, crisis intervention, and any other emergency clinical inquires.

Oversees the provision of quality clinical services and compliance, personnel, and administrative functions in accordance with SUPR and DCFS contractual obligations, and all policies and procedures of Family Guidance Centers (FGC) to ensure safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective patient care. Must effectively relate with all facility services to ensure for the appropriate continuity of patient care.

Coordinates all SUPR/DCFS Programs as follows:

  1. Ensures that residential program is appropriately staffed on a daily basis
  2. Continuously assesses and improves the performance of care and services provided within residential program
  3. Responsible for coordinating admissions, discharges, and referrals to outside agencies for all patients involved in residential care
  4. Review and approve/disapprove continuing stay reviews at required intervals
  5. Supervises documentation to ensure that documentation reflects services and care provide to patients in residential care
  6. Responsible for productivity of services and goals and submits weekly productivity of the residential program to AVP of Springfield
  7. Monitors and Reports statistics on census for clinical services hours provided, toxicology testing, and caseload assignments in accordance with agency goals
  8. Acts as management team coordinator with nursing staff-multidisciplinary team
  9. Ensures timely and comprehensive treatment plans and reviews, progress notes, and record keeping standards are in accordance with FGC policies and regulatory entities
  10. Assists as needed with program design, marketing, and performance development
  11. Ensures Quality Improvement Plans are implemented in accordance with PI department
  12. Conducts and documents minimum monthly supervision meetings with each residential team member
  13. Participates in interviewing for counselors and other positions as needed, making hiring and termination recommendations
  14. Works with other departments to ensure the residential patients are monitored and appropriate documentation in entered in patient file and appropriate clinical staff are notified of any patient issues or behaviors.
  15. Specifies personnel accountability and evaluates performance regularly
  16. Other duties as assigned

Knowledge of ASAM clinical guidelines and regulatory standards are essential. Adaptability is necessary in working in a fast paced environment while interacting in a positive manner with other disciplines and patients. It is desirable to be proactive in solving problems and have appreciations of continuous improvement concepts. Basic Computer knowledge is expected.

Possess a working knowledge of FGC Standard Operating Procedures, and all applicable licensing rules, regulations, independent guidelines, and prohibitions

Experience and Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related discipline form an accredited institution preferred. Master’s Degree preferred. Knowledge of ASAM Patient Placement criteria and regulatory stands is essential. Adaptability is necessary in working in a fast paced environment while interacting in a positive manner with other disciplines and clients. It is desirable to be proactive in solving problems and have an appreciation of continuous improvements concepts. Basic Computer knowledge and ability to use clinical software

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must at least have a CADC; Current professional license as an LPC, LCPC, LSW or LCSW is preferred.
