Job Description:

Will participate and assist in the development of the Sangamon County ROSC emphasizing prevention and wellness, along with continued prioritization of the individual in recovery and community in the overall management of the local ROSC.  Will assist in the preparation of Zoom meetings and distribution of ROSC information and materials to clients, families, member organizations and stakeholders in the community. Position requires ability to travel to schools, community organizations, human services, businesses, courts, healthcare systems and other locations in the site area plan. 

  • Assists and helps the Recovery Oriented System of Care Manager (ROSC) and reports to the ROSC Manager  
  • Assists in the implementation of following principles, 1)Focusing on clients and families, 2) ensuring timely access to care, 3)promoting healthy, safe, and drug free communities, 4)prioritizing accountable and value-based financing and locally managing SUD systems of care. 
  • Prepares needed program documentation and reports for ROSC Manager
  • Attends all required trainings and meetings associated with grant.
  • Travel to various locations within the site plan area for meetings, outreach, and other grant-related activities. 
  • Fulfill agency responsibilities including staff development, monitoring research, and other responsibilities as designed by supervisor. 
  • Assists in county-wide recovery initiatives. 
  • Develops patient treatment plans and conducts continued stay review on research, clinical experience, and patients' histories-using SAMMS assessment on computer.  Provides patient intakes, treatment planning, case coordination, staffing, aftercare planning and discharge with individual and group therapy for full spectrum of referral sources. 
  • Provides direct clinical service to a full caseload, achieving a minimum of 15 billable hours weekly. 
  • Reviews and evaluates patients' progress in relation to measurable goals described in treatment and care plans. counsels patients individually or in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes.

  • Maintains confidentiality at all times in accordance with 42 CFR and HIPAA regulations.

Experience and Skills:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Minimum of Bachelors' degree in behavioral health field, education or social services (i.e. Community Health, Sociology, Community Psychology, etc.) with at least 2 years of experience in prevention/community-related field; or a Master's Degree in behavioral related field. Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug (ATOD) prevention/behavioral experience is preferred but not mandatory. 


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: CPR and First Certification will be needed and providing during employment if not previously certified. Must have  proof of a valid Drivers' license, private automobile insurance and be insurable. Must obtain DCFS CANTS child abuse clearance.
