Job Description:

Family Guidance Centers, Inc. (FGC), a not-for-profit behavioral healthcare organization treats and prevents substance abuse, as well as an array of other related problems. Family Guidance Centers, Inc. offers opportunities for individuals with an interest in behavioral health.

Essential Duties

  • Conduct front desk duties (i.e. answer phones, route calls to designated person, take messages, check-in clients, etc.)
  • Manage lobby area (i.e. greet visitors, request and receive payments from clients, coordinate payment plans as needed, etc.)
  • Administer toxicology testing for clients as needed (ensure appropriate tracking, storage, and chain of custody processes)
  • Maintain communication with local agencies and resources needed to ensure quality client care
  • Create and implement a filing system for record keeping and ensure security and confidentiality at all times
  • Complete accounting duties (i.e. coordinate accounts receivable with FGC accounting office, submit financial reports, complete billing/financial reports, etc.)
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of office and toxicology supplies
  • Monitor and maintain office and computer equipment (collaborate with IT personnel as needed)
  • Receive deliveries and coordinate receipts of all orders
  • Prepare shipping orders and outgoing deliveries (including packaging and schedule pick-ups)
  • Analyze and monitor all internal office policies, procedures and processes
  • Maintain a safe, secure and confidential working environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Schedule: Monday - Friday (7:00a - 3:00p)

Experience and Skills:

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED equivalent with at least 2 years of administrative/office manager experience. Experience in customer service strongly preferred. Basic knowledge of clerical practices and procedures, data and administrative management practices and procedures. Computer skills and knowledge of office software packages.
