Essential Duties: Promotes positive customer service culture which encourages quality patient outcomes Prepares food to be served using established production procedures and systems Prepares and sets steam table Serves or ensures proper serving of food for tray line or dining room Works cooperatively with other cooks in evaluating cafeteria leftovers Labels, dates, and stores leftovers properly Consults production sheets for thawing and doing advance preparation when possible Completes and posts sign-up sheets daily. Stores food properly and safely, marking date and item. Assists Lead Cook with the development and standardization of recipes Assists Lead Cook with planning cooking schedule to have food prepared on time Keeps work area clean and sanitizes work surfaces Completes food temperature checks before service. Prepares and serves food for special functions as assigned. Other duties as assigned Schedule: Monday - Friday (6:30a - 3:00p or 10:00a - 6:30p) with weekend rotation (6:30a - 6:30p) Start Date: ASAP Work Location: 333 W.
