Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) Essential Duties:

• Conduct recovery oriented and educational groups under the direction of the Program Manager
• Engage patients in treatment through motivational interviewing and motivational enhancement techniques
• Assist with monitoring patient engagement and communicate with the treatment team regarding patient attendance, participation and any barriers or needs to support treatment involvement
• Document services provided in the individual patient record in a timely fashion and in accordance with IL. DASA, Federal and FGC standards
• Participate in supervision with assigned supervisor as well as appropriate continuing education activities related to care management and maintenance of relevant certification or licensure
• Demonstrate professionalism in working with patients, staff and other outside professionals.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA and 42CFR.

Residential Coordinator (RC) Essential Duties:

• Process incoming patients including basic orientation to program rules
• Assist case manager/counselor with client activities by implementing scheduled and/or requested activities
• Complete inventory inspection of incoming and outgoing clothing and supplies to ensure FGC policy and procedures are followed and maintained
• Coordinate and relay pertinent information between staff members throughout shifts and during shift changes
• Monitor self-administration of medications by clients and document in SAMMS, MAR/PRN log according to regulations
• Recognize deviations from normal and is able to correct the deviation
• Perform room and facility checks, at varying intervals, to ensure client’s comfort, safety, and well-being
• Supervise and manage the behavior of clients and provide appropriate behavioral interventions and consequences
• Perform all drug screen services to clients, including but not limited to urine analysis and oral swabs
• Oversee the neatness of the unit and proper use of equipment and supplies and inform the proper person when supplies or repairs

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday (7:00a - 3:30p) with flexibility to accommodate agency's need

Education and/or Experience: High Schools Diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree (or higher) in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or a related field preferred; Prior experience in or with substance use will be considered.   

Certification, Licensure, Registrations: IAODAPCA Certified Alcohol and Other Drugs Counselor (CADC)  required or able to obtain within up to 2 years of hire date, dependent on experience; IAODAPCA Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) preferred.
