Since 1969, FGC's comprehensive programming has educated and guided individuals toward their full potential as productive members within their own families and our society. Essential Duties: Travel throughout Grundy and Kendall counties as instructed Conduct opioid overdose prevention training to the following people at pop-up events or to an area where a spike in overdoses has occurred: community members, active users, family members etc. Ensure all training participants understand the overdose reversal reporting paperwork/online reporting required in the event they deploy their Naloxone Ensure the primary target audience of all training and events are 18 and older Distribute Narcan kits to businesses, community-based organizations, recovery facilities or other effective distribution sites permitting free Narcan kits as a part of their existing service Provide restocking of baskets as required Ensure a manager of participating business or organization signs the Narcan Distribution Sign-up sheet (include name of facility, contact name, phone number and email address) Complete a Monthly Progress Report Attend Kankakee County Opioid Task Force bi-monthly meetings in person or virtually Ensure that Narcan will be stored safely and consistent with the manufacturer’s guidelines Schedule: Monday - Friday (flexible schedule) Start Date: ASAP Work Base Location: 2400 Glenwood Ave., Joliet, IL Family Guidance Centers, Inc. is a Drug Free Environment, An Equal Opportunity Employer Experience and Skills: Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED required.
